Resident Map has most, if not all, of the functionality of most other property management software products - including being a web-based application. The following is a list of just a few of our unique features.
The Map
The first thing you see when you log onto Resident Map is a scaled map of your property. Moments later the map will display the status of each unit by color-coding the space, giving you an instant "bird's eye" view
of your property. At a glance, a manager, supervisor, or owner can see in real-time which spaces are vacant or occupied, or have repossessed, abandoned, or model homes on them. We call these color-coded maps with
real-time data, map reports.
Map reports can display limitless amounts of information depending on your needs. Map reports can show rent collected vs. delinquent rent, pending move-outs/move-ins, homes for sale,
homes with outstanding notices, homes of a certain age, designation of size of home each space will accommodate - the list goes on. We have many pre-designed maps, but if we don't have what you're looking for,
the map of your choice can be easily created.
Not only does the map report instant and vital information, it also serves as a "control panel" and is your primary source for accessing all of Resident Map's functions. This is what makes Resident Map
so easy to learn and use. Resident Map also has a traditional menu-driven interface, like most software, however, most of the functions you will use on a daily basis can be accessed by simply clicking on a space
and selecting an option from the drop-down menu which appears.
Automated Legal Notices
Many property management software programs will automatically calculate and apply late fees at a predetermined date. Resident Map will automatically calculate late fees, apply late fee charges, prepare and print
the late fee notice, and archive the notice in the tenant's digital file forever - to be retrieved upon demand. Notices are tailored to your unique specifications and to the laws of the area where your property
resides.
In addition, most legal notices can be automated, simplifying your management and preventing errors. Resident Map's automated legal notice function helps companies to consistently, timely, and accurately
implement legal noticing policy. Our automation removes human error and inconsistency. Naturally, those with the appropriate security privileges can override any automation, as needed.
Communication Tools
Resident Map has a "message board" much a like an Internet web-log or message board. This communication tool allows managers, supervisors, and owners to communicate, give direction, establish policy, or simply
ask questions in a controlled and common platform. A supervisor, for example, can post a question on a given property's message board. The supervisor can then select one or more participants to invite into the
discussion. All participants are then automatically emailed an invitation to the message board with a "hyperlink" attached. The participants may then post their responses to the message board. Naturally, each
message board discussion is archived for future retrieval.
Resident Map also has an online task or "to-do" list. This is a place where a Supervisor can post required tasks for the Onsite Manager with a corresponding due date and automated reminder. Again, all
tasks are archived for future retrieval and/or review.
Resident Map also supports on online "daily log." This is a permanent location to record anything of significance that happened in the property on a given day. Each daily record is archived and can be
retrieved with a simple search function. It should be noted that we added this feature recently after many of our customers requested this functionality.
Integrated Utility Billing
Our property management software provides you with integrated utility billing. This means your tenants receive one easy to follow billing statement for their monthly fees and sub metered utilities.
